General description
Recombinant, human γ-interferon expressed in E. coli. A multi-functional protein consisting of 144 amino acids. Exhibits antiviral and antitumor properties. Regulates the development of specific immune responses. Expressed in and purified from E. coli.
Biochem/physiol Actions
ED₅₀ = 0.5-3.0 ng/ml as measured by inhibition (cytostasis) of human WiDr cells.

Please refer to vial label for lot-specific concentration.
Physical form
Sterile-filtered (0.22 µm) in 40 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4, carrier-free.
Preparation Note
Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Do not store in glass vials without addition of carrier protein. Further dilute in low endotoxin medium or buffer containing FBS or tissue culture grade BSA.
