Beschreibung

General description

Eine zellpermeable Isothioharnstoff-Verbindung, die spezifisch, schnell und reversibel die Funktion von MreB stört, ohne die Polymerisation von eukaryotischem Aktin zu beeinflussen. Berichten zufolge beeinflusst sie das Wachstum und die Morphologie von Caulobacter crescentus, wandelt stäbchenförmige E. coli in runde Zellen um und blockiert die DNA-Segregation, ohne die DNA-Replikation zu beeinträchtigen. Es wird angenommen, dass sie mit der Nukleotidbindungstasche von MreB interagiert und für die zeitliche Analyse der MreB-Funktion nützlich ist.

Preparation Note

Nach der Rekonstitution in DMSO in Aliquote aufteilen und einfrieren (-20 °;C). DMSO-Stammlösungen sind bei -20 °;C bis zu 1 Jahr haltbar. Direkt vor der Verwendung in H₂;O rekonstituieren; wässrige Stammlösungen sind bis zu 12 Stunden stabil. In saurem Medium bis zu 2 Tage lang stabil.
