Beschreibung

General description

Ein Aminophenylthiazol, das als Hemmstoff des TMEM16A-Kanals, einem durch Calcium aktivierten Chloridkanal (CaCC), wirkt (IC₅₀ = 1,1 µM). Blockiert den CaCC-Strom in Speicheldrüsenzellen bei 10 µM vollständig, hat aber nur eine sehr geringe Wirkung in Atemwegs- und Darmzellen, was mit der Beobachtung des RNAi-Knockdowns übereinstimmt. Blockiert vollständig Chloridströme, die durch TMEM16A Activator, Eact (Best.-Nr. 631547) bei 10 µM erzeugt werden. Darüber hinaus blockiert es nachweislich Calcium-aktivierte Chloridkanäle in glatten Gefäßmuskelzellen und entspannt Blutgefäße bei Mäusen und Menschen.
