Streptavidin aus Streptomyces avidinii wird wie folgt verwendet:
- bei der Vorfunktionalisierung von selbstangetriebenen katalytischen Mikromotoren
- bei der Herstellung und Modifizierung von mit Hydroxyapatit-Chitosan (HA-CTS)-Nanofilm beschichteten Substraten
- als Analyt zum Binden von Biomolekülen an Solarzellen mit Gold-invertierten Polymeren (Au-IPSC).
