L-Buthionin-sulfoximin wird wie folgt verwendet:
- als selektiver Aktivator der Einleitung der Ferroptose in apoptotischen Rattenzellen
- als Inhibitor der γ-Glutamylcysteinsynthetase zum Untersuchen seiner Wirkung auf die Viabilität und Wirksamkeit der Einleitung der Mikrosporenembryogenese (ME) in Triticale und Gerste
- als Glutathionsyntheseblocker zum Untersuchen seiner Wirkung auf die durch Auranofin (AFN) vermittelte Interleukin-1β-Expression in murinen alveolaren Makrophagen
Wird zur Induktion einer experimentellen Glutathiondefizienz verwendet, um die Rollen von Glutathion im Zellprozess zu untersuchen.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Blockiert den Zellwiderstand gegenüber Chemotherapie, indem es die γ-Glutamylcystein-Synthetase, ein wichtiges Enzym in der Glutathion-Biosynthese, hemmt. Wird zur Induktion einer experimentellen Glutathiondefizienz verwendet, um die Rollen von Glutathion im Zellprozess zu untersuchen.
