General description

Anti-c-Myc-Antikörper werden für den Nachweis der c-Myc-Tag-Sequenz auf c-Myc-markierten Fusionsproteinen eingesetzt. Diese polyklonalen Antikörper werden in Kaninchen produziert und erkennen die c-Myc-Sequenz am N-Terminus und am C-Terminus. C3956 ist ein affinitätsgereinigter Antikörper, der die Sensitivität der meisten Anwendungen erhöht.

MYC (MYC-Proto-Onkogen) ist ein Transkriptionsfaktor und ein Onkoprotein. Es ist auf dem Chromosom 8q24 lokalisiert. Das c-Myc-Gen codiert für einen Transkriptionsfaktor mit bHLH/LZ-Motiv („Basic Helix-Loop-Helix/Leucine Zipper“).

Immunogen

Peptid entsprechend den Aminosäuren 408–425 des humanen c-myc-Proto-Onkogens, über einen C-terminalen hinzugefügten Cysteinrest an Maleimid-aktiviertes KLH konjugiert.

Application

Anti-c-Myc-Antikörper wurden für Western Blots und Immunfluoreszenz verwendet.

Der Antikörper wird für den Einsatz in Immunblotting, Immunpräzipitation und Immunfluoreszenz empfohlen.

Biochem/physiol Actions

N-terminal oder C-terminal markierte (Glu-Gln-Lys-Leu-Ile-Ser-Glu-Glu-Asp-Leu) c-Myc-Fusionsproteine.

MYC (MYC-Proto-Onkogen) ist möglicherweise essenziell für die Krebsentstehung, -förderung und -therapieresistenz. Die Überexpression von MYC in DLBCL (diffuses großzelliges B-Zell-Lymphom) führt zu schlechten Ergebnissen und invasiver Behandlung bei Therapie mit Rituximab plus Cyclophosphamid, Doxorubicin, Vincristin und Prednison (R-CHOP). Das c-myc-Onkogen (cellular myelocytomatosis) spielt eine wichtige Rolle bei der Zellproliferation, Differenzierung und Apoptose. Es wirkt als Transkriptionsregulator bei der Genexpression.
