Application

Dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide has been used in a study to assess the relation between counterion distribution and miscibility of counterions at the solution surface. This was deduced for surfactant mixtures containing common surfactant ions but different counterions. [1] It has also been used in a study to investigate its micelle formation throughout the entire composition range of water-dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) mixtures using conductimetry, density measurements, and small angle neutron scattering. [2]

General description

Dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide is a single-chain surfactant. [3]
