This product comprises sulfate-stabilized polystyrene latex particles. The surface is hydrophobic polystyrene with no surface functionalization (no carboxyl, amine, or other functional groups). Preparation is by conventional emulsion polymerization using potassium persulfate as the initiator. The suspension contains water only and includes no surfactants, detergents, dispersing agents, preservatives (including sodium azide), or other additives.
