General description
Application
- as a delivery system for a peptide to the wound site to study the effect of the peptide on wound healing in mice.[4]
- as a surface coating for PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) stamps to make them hydrogel repellent.[5]
- in the preparation of calcium indicator stock solution for measuring neural activities.[6]
- as a component of phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), to lower unspecific cell and protein adhesion to a PDMS-based microfluidic device.[7]
- This non-ionic copolymer surfactant is suitable for use in insect cell culture applications as an antifoaming agent.

What is the hydroxyl number of F127?
1 answer-
Based on an approximate molecular weight of 12,600, this block co-polymer with two hydroxyl groups has a theoretical hydroxyl value of 8.9 mg potassium hydroxide (KOH) per gram of polymer. Higher experimental results for the hydroxyl value would indicate some branching.

Is there a reference for using Pluronic F-127 to reduce cell adhesion in a microfluidic PDMS-based device? Also, does it dissolve in cell culture media in a PDMS-based device, and if it does, what modifications are recommended to maintain its ability to prevent cell adhesion?
1 answer-
There are several representative publications that report the use of Pluronic F-127 to lower cell adhesion on microfluidic PDMS-based devices. These publications may be of interest as a reference:
These publications provide information on using Pluronic F-127 to lower cell adhesion on PDMS-based devices. As for its solubility in cell culture media within a PDMS-based device and the recommended modifications to maintain its ability to prevent cell adhesion, it is advised to refer to these publications for detailed insights.

I was asked about the polydispersity of Pluronic F-127, Product P2443. Could you please inform me?
1 answer-
The polydispersity is not a test specification for this product. The product is an ABA-type copolymer of poly (ethylene oxide) (PEO=A) and poly (propylene oxide) (PPO=B), where the A and B blocks have the following values: A = 101, B = 56. The approximate relative amount of PEO in the poloxamer is ca. 70% and the average molecular weight of the PPO is 4000. The molecular structure is shown below:

can I know what is the chain length of each PEO and PPO of this F-127?
1 answer-
Pluronic F 127 corresponds to the structure of Kolliphor P 407.
This product is an ABA-type copolymer of polyethylene oxide (PEO=A) and polypropylene oxide (PPO=B), where the A and B blocks have the following values:
A = 101
B = 56Helpful?
