Beschreibung

General description

Ein metallischer Chelatbildner, der die Induktion von Chromosomenaberrationen in Streptozotocin-behandelten Zellen verhindert. Wirkt als allgemeiner Inhibitor von Matrix-Metalloproteinasen. Bildet mit Fe²⁺ ein rotes Chelat mit maximaler Absorption bei 510 nm. Kann als photometrisches Reagenz für Eisen angewendet werden.
