Beschreibung

General description

Ein zellpermeables wasserlösliches Phenanthridinon-Derivat, das als starker Inhibitor von Poly(ADP-Ribose)-Polymerase (PARP; EC₅₀ = 20 nM) wirkt. Ist nachweislich rund 10.000-mal stärker als der prototypische PARP-Inhibitor 3-Aminobenzamid (Katalog-Nr. 165350) (EC₅₀ = 200 µM). Wirkt in höheren Konzentrationen (1 µM bis 10 mM) nicht als Antioxidans. Zeigt in In-vivo- und In-vitro-Modellen von Schlaganfall Neuroprotektion. Auch verfügbar als 20-mM-Lösung in H₂O (Katalog-Nr. 528151).
