Application

Carboxypeptidase B wird für die Sequenzanalyse von Proteinen durch schrittweise Spaltung der basischen Aminosäuren aus dem C-Terminus der Proteine verwendet.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Carboxypeptidase B ist eine Zn²⁺-metalloprotease, die die Hydrolyse der basischen Aminosäuren L-Lys und L-Arg von der C-Terminus-Position bei Polypeptiden katalysiert.[1]
