N,N-Dimethyl-p-Phenylendiamin-dihydrochlorid ist ein Azoreduktionsprodukt von Acid Orange 52 (AO52). Es hat sich im Oxidase-Test zur Differenzierung von Bakterien auf Grundlage ihrer Fähigkeit, den Farbstoff zu verwenden, als nützlich erwiesen.

Application

N,N-Dimethyl-p-Phenylendiamin-dihydrochlorid wird zur Bestimmung der oxidativen Kapazität in Plasma in Bezug auf das oxidative Potenzial des Eisenäquivalents in Plasma (Plasma Ferric Equivalent Oxidative Potential, PFEOP) verwendet.
