General description
Sepharose™ 4B ist ein Agarose-Bead und ein Polymer der Gal-β1,4 [3,6]-Anhydro-L-galactose. Sepharose unterstützt die Fraktionierung größerer Moleküle und ist frei von geladenen Sacchariden. In Gegenwart von 3,6-Anhydro-L-galactose wird der biologische Abbau gehemmt. Wasserstoffbrücken stabilisieren die Sepharosegelstruktur. Sepharose wird häufig in der Affinitätschromatographie verwendet, wobei verschiedene Liganden auf der Matrix quervernetzt werden.
