Bifonazole is used to treat several infections such as onychomycoses, otomycoses, erythrasma, psoriasis, sebopsoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis and rosacea. Bifonazole is also used as an important drug to treat melanoma.

Bifonazol ein Imidazol-basiertes Antipilzmittel mit einem breiten Wirkspektrum gegen viele Pilze, Schimmel, Hefen und einige Gram-positive Bakterien. Bifonazol hemmt Ergosterol Biosynthetic Protein 28 und Cytochrom P450 2B4.
