Application

Isocitronensäuredehydrogenase (IDH) wird wie folgt verwendet:

• in einem In-vitro-Aktivitätsassay zur Untersuchung der Wirkung von Thorium auf Citratzyklus-Enzyme im mitochrondrialen Respirationsweg[1]
• als Standard zum Messen der Auswirkung von Temperatur auf die Aktivität von Nicotinamid-diphosphat(NADP)-IDH
• im Isocitronensäure-Assay[2]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Isocitronensäuredehydrogenase (IDH) ist ein homodimeres Enzym und an verschiedenen Prozessen wie Anpassung an Hypoxie, Histondemethylierung und DNA-Modifikation beteiligt. Dieses Enzym hat drei Isoformen, IDH₁, IDH₂ und IDH₃.[3]

Eine Einheit wandelt je Min. bei einem pH-Wert von 7,4 und 37 °C 1,0 μmol Isocitrat zu α-Ketoglutarat um.
