Isoproterenolhydrochlorid hilft nach einer Transplantation bei der Gesundung der Organe. Es besitzt sowohl eine ionotrope als auch eine chronotrope Wirkung. Was die Gesundung eines Spenderherzens betrifft, so reduziert Isoproterenolhydrochlorid den peripheren und systemischen Gefäßwiderstand. Außerdem erhöht Isoproterenol die Herzfrequenz.
