Myoglobin aus der Skelettmuskulatur des Pferdes ist ein einkettiges Hämprotein, das 153 Aminosäurereste enthält. Es besitzt keine Disulfidbrücken oder freie -SH Gruppen. Myoglobin enthält 8 rechtshändig gedrehte Spiralen, die von ungeordneten oder zufälligen Coil-Regionen verbunden werden.
Myoglobin ist für die O2-Versorgung der Skelettmuskulatur bei nahezu maximalem Sauerstoffbedarf von entscheidender Bedeutung; es hält den PO2-Gehalt über dem für die Funktion der Mitochondrien erforderlichen Wert und verhindert so Sauerstoffmangel (Anoxie).

Can you advise what the % level of hemoglobin (if any will be present in this product)? Or can this be treated as Hb contaminant free.

While this product is not specifically tested for hemoglobin, it is purified by Sephadex gel filtration. Given the molecular weight differences between these two compounds, the presence of hemoglobin is highly unlikely.
