General description
β-Nicotinamid-Mononukleotid (β-NMN) ist ein Zwischenprodukt der durch die Nicotinamid-Phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) katalysierten Biosynthese von Nicotinamidadenin-Dinukleotid (NAD+). NAMPT vermittelt die Kondensation von Nicotinamid mit 5-Phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphat zur Bildung von β-NMN. β-NMN-Adenyltransferase wandelt β-NMN anschließend in NAD+ um.
Application
β-Nicotinamid-Mononukleotid (NMN) wird zur Untersuchung von Bindungsmotiven innerhalb von RNA-Aptameren und Ribozym-Aktivierungsprozessen unter Beteiligung von β-Nicotinamid-Mononukleotid-aktivierten (β-NMN) RNA-Fragmenten verwendet.
