Spermin wird verwendet:
- als Agonist für den Inositol-1,4,5-Trisphosphat-Rezeptor (IP3R)/das glucoseregulierte Protein 75 (Grp75)/den spannungsabhängigen Anionenkanal 1 (VDAC1)/den mitochondrialen Calcium-Uniporter (MCU) zur Aktivierung von MCU in Maus-Podozyten
- bei der biolistischen Transfektion von Filarialparasiten
- für die Produktion von adenoassoziierten Viren (AAV)
Biochem/physiol Actions
Gemischter NMDA-Agonist-/Antagonist an der Polyaminstelle. Spielt eine Rolle bei der Zellproliferation und -differenzierung, hemmt die Neuronale Stickstoffmonoxid-Synthase (nNOS).
Gemischter NMDA-Glutamatrezeptor-Agonist/-Antagonist an der Polyaminstelle. In hohen Konzentrationen (1 mM) wurden neuroprotektive Wirkungen beobachtet, bei niedrigeren Konzentrationen tritt dagegen eine Neurotoxizität auf. Verstärkt die Agonistenwirkung an der für Strychnin unempfindlichen Glycin-Stelle. Spielt eine Rolle bei der Zellproliferation und -differenzierung, hemmt die Neuronale Stickstoffmonoxid-Synthase (nNOS).

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
