Roflumilast ist ein hochwirksamer, oral aktiver und selektiver Phosphodiesterase-4(PDE4)-Inhibitor mit einem IC₅₀ von 0,8 nM. Roflumilast hat entzündungshemmende Eigenschaften und wird klinisch zur Behandlung von COPD genutzt.
