Cette solution de DL-dithiothréitol a été utilisée :
- dans une analyse par western blotting.
- comme supplément dans un tampon de lyse pour étudier ses effets sur la lyse du sperme.
- comme constituant d'un tampon d'homogénéisation froid et d'un tampon de lavage glacé pour isoler des noyaux à partir de tissus de rat congelés.
- en électrophorèse sur du gel de polyacrylamide contenant du dodécylsulfate de sodium (SDS-PAGE), en chromatographie, et dans la modification de composés comprenant de la cystéine.

General description
Le dithiothréitol est un agent réducteur efficace utilisé dans l'analyse des protéines. Le format du type ampoule scellée est pratique et facile à utiliser lors de la préparation d'échantillons pour l'électrophorèse ou d'autres applications ; il réduit également les déchets et évite la perte d'efficacité.
Le dithiothréitol (DTT) est employé dans les applications de protéomique pour maintenir les groupements sulfhydryle (-SH) à l'état réduit et pour réduire quantitativement les groupements disulfure (-S-S-). C'est aussi un réactif fréquemment ajouté aux tampons du fait de sa capacité à réduire l'état d'oxydation des échantillons de protéines et à préserver l'activité enzymatique. Le DTT s'oxyde et passe sous forme cyclique lors de la réduction d'autres disulfures en solution.

How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.

What is the ideal storage temperature for this product? Most DTT solutions must be stored at -20, but this was shipped at RT.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
