General description

Tetramethylrhodamine methyl ester perchlorate (TMRM) is a membrane-permeant, cationic, fluorescent dye that can label mitochondria and mark embryonic stem cell/induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes. It is useful for the isolation of mature cardiomyocytes.[1]

Application

Tetramethylrhodamine methyl ester perchlorate (TMRM) has been used as a sensitive probe for the detection of mitochondrial membrane potential.[2][3]
