When blood films are stained using Giemsa Stain, the nucleus and cytoplasm of white blood cells take on characteristic blue or pink coloration. The use of purified eosin and thiazine dyes minimizes lot-to-lot variation.
Other Notes
Giemsa stain, modified, 0.4%, w/v, in buffered methanol solution, pH 6.8. Also contains stabilizers.

Product 32884 has not been suitability tested for G banding of human chromosomes. There is no available protocol for use of the product for G banding of human chromosomes. The quality control testing performed on a lot-to-lot basis includes testing for appearance, density, pH, and UV absorbance.
