Suitable for use as a pre-hybridization buffer in Northern and Southern blot protocols.
Preparation Note
Sigma′s 2X Prehybridization Solution contains 200 μg/mL DNA in 10x SSC and 2X Denhardt′s solutions:
- 200 μg/mL DNA
- 2mg Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA)
- 2mg Ficoll
- 2mg Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)
- 0.15 M sodium citrate
- 1.5M NaCl
