Opis

Application

Salbutamol hemisulfate salt was used as standard in analysis of fortified meat for LABA content using ELISA kits.³ It was used to study the response of prostaglandin 2α to various β-adrenergic agonists in cultured bovine endometrial cells.⁴

Salbutamol hemisulfate salt has been used as reference standards of drugs for the validation of β-agonist residue.

Biochem/physiol Actions

β2-Adrenergic receptor agonist.

Salbutamol is a β2 adrenoceptor agonist with short acting bronchodilation and anti-inflammatory effects. It relaxes the airway smooth muscles and inhibits bronchoconstriction induced by adenosine-5′ -monophosphate (AMP).¹ Salbutamol is particularly effective in treatment of asthma as it provides immediate relief.²

Salbutamol is a β2 adrenoceptor agonist with short acting bronchodilation and anti-inflammatory effects. It relaxes the airway smooth muscles and inhibits bronchoconstriction induced by adenosine-5′ -monophosphate (AMP). Salbutamol is particularly effective in treatment of asthma as it provides immediate relief. Salbutamol is one of the most popular short-acting BA (SABA). It is useful in treating the symptoms of EIB (exercise induced bronchospasm).
