Application

Lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) may be used in the following studies:
  • As a precursor in the preparation of LiFe1-yVyPO4 solid solutions.[1]
  • As a starting reagent for the synthesis of various lithium salts (lithium chloride and lithium bromide).[2]

General description

Lithium carbonate (Li2CO3), a lithium salt, is a white monoclinic crystalline solid. Its industrial preparation has been described. In laboratory, it can be synthesized by reacting carbon dioxide gas with a lithium hydroxide solution.[2]
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which belong to one of the four categories of greener alternatives. LITHIUM CARBONATE is essential for sustainable energy solutions, particularly in lithium-ion batteries. Its eco-friendly properties enhance battery performance and longevity, supporting the transition to cleaner energy technologies while reducing environmental impact. Click here for more information.
