Application

El agua se utiliza como:
  • Disolvente para preparar disoluciones tampón durante el proceso de lisis celular.[1]
  • Componente de la fase móvil durante la detección mediante HPLC–UV–matriz de diodos para la separación y la detección de los analitos.[2]

General description

El agua adecuada para HPLC suele utilizarse como disolvente para la elución isocrática en la cromatografía de cationes y de aniones. Además, se utiliza como un componente para preparar disoluciones patrón de reserva, y para la evaporación bajo una corriente de nitrógeno en un baño de agua para concentrar la muestra antes del análisis mediante LC-MS-MS.[3] [4]

  1. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  2. Is this water suitable for lal test method ? Is pyrogen free ? Is there a specification?

    1. This product is not suitable for the Limulus Amebocyte Lysate test method (LAL). Specifications for this product are available in the documents section of the webpage, but pyrogen levels are not specified. This product is not certified as pyrogen-free and is not sterile. This product is intended for use as a solvent for High-Performance Liquid Chromatography mobile phases.

  3. Will dispensing small quantities and resealing the container lead to air dissolving in the water? I intend to use 50ml-100ml for my experiments.

    1. Opening a container that is not isolated from the atmosphere could results in ambient air dissolving in the water remaining inside the container. The rate of of air introduction would need to be monitored for a given set of conditions such as temperature, air exchange in the laboratory, and relative humidity.

  5. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.   6. How is this water purified? is it distilled?

    1. The water purification process involves several steps:
      • The water initially passes through a carbon exchange tank to remove organic compounds.
      • It is then filtered using a 1μm PE cartridge filter to remove any remaining impurities.
      • Inorganic compounds are eliminated through deionization tanks, ensuring high purity. The resistivity of the water is checked during this stage.
      •The water undergoes sterilization using UV light to eliminate any microorganisms.
      • Finally, the water is filtered through a 0.2μm cartridge filter, and the resulting HPLC grade water is packaged in glass bottles.
      Note: This information provides an overview of the typical water purification process and may vary depending on specific applications or systems.

    Good, pure water

    Water was high purity, HPLC grade. We didn't actually use it for HPLC but it seemed very clean and pure for our purposes.
