Application

Ethyl decanoate is:
  • Added to the beer during the brewing process to increase its fruity and sweet aroma and improve its overall sensory properties.[1]
  • Found to be a key aroma compound in F. vesca, contributing to its fruity and sweet aroma.[1]

General description

Ethyl decanoate is an ester of decanoic acid, a product composed of ≥98% pure ethyl decanoate. It is commonly used as an artificial aroma in various applications, including alcoholic drinks, fruit juices, and perfumes, due to its fruity and sweet odor.[2]
We are committed to bringing you greener alternative products, which adhere to one or more of the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry. This product is Biobased and thus aligns with "Less Hazardous Chemical Syntheses" and "Use of Renewable Feedstocks".
