Biochem/physiol Actions

Wirkungsmechanismus: Ampicillin ist ein halbsynthetisches Penicillin und ein β-Lactam-Antibiotikum, das die Zellwandsynthese von Bakterien hemmt, indem es Transpeptidasen auf der Innenoberfläche der Zellmembran der Bakterien deaktiviert.

Wirkungsweise der Resistenz: Die Verabreichung zusammen mit β-Lactamase spaltet den β-Lactam-Ring von Ampicillin und deaktiviert ihn.

Antimikrobielles Spektrum: Wirksam sowohl gegen grampositive (ähnlich wie Benzylpenicillin) wie auch gramnegative (ähnlich wie Tetrazykline und Chloramphenicol) Bakterien.
