General description

Biochem/physiol Actions
Einige der enzymatischen Wirkungen von Laccase sind mit der Sporenbildung, Entgiftung, Morphogenese und Melaninpolymerisation assoziiert, und es bietet Schutz für die Sporenhülle. I dissolved 1 mg this product in 1 ml buffer (expected 1 mg/ml), but Bradford assay showed 0.01 mg/ml. Why is there such a big difference?

With product 38429, the Enzymatic Activity specification per each lot is > or = to 0.5 (in U/mg). 1 U Corresponds to the Amount of Enzyme which Converts 1 mol Catechol per Minute at ph5.0 and 25 deg C. For each lot of product received, please consult the Certificate of Analysis to see how much is in each lot. From there, please calculate the concentration desired for your application.

What is the optimum temperature and optimum pH-value for this laccase? Is there an exact value or a range available?

According to the procedure for the enzymatic assay of laccase, the conditions are set at T = 30 °C and pH = 6.5.

The minimum activity specification for this product is 0.5 µ/mg. This value varies from lot to lot. A review of several recent lots reveals a general range of 0.5 µ/mg – 1.1 µ/mg,
A 1-gram vial with an activity of 0.5 U/mg would contain 500 units. The same lot in the 10-gram vial would contain 5000 units.
