Application
Carbamoylcholinchlorid wird verwendet:
- für die Stimulation der Insulinsekretion bei transgenen Mäusen
- zum Induzieren der Kontraktion von undifferenzierten und differenzierten aus humanem Fettgewebe gewonnenen Stammzellen (hASCs)
- zum Auslösen der Iriskonstriktion bei Untersuchungen der Pupillenlichtreflexe bei Mäusen
Biochem/physiol Actions
Nicht selektiver cholinerger Agonist, der gegen die Wirkung von Cholinesterasen resistent ist; hemmt den apoptotischen Tod von kultivierten Neuronen und kann die Apoptose von Thymozyten induzieren.
Carbachol löst durch Wechselwirkung mit Muskarinrezeptoren die Sekretion der Tränenflüssigkeit aus. Es ist ein Acetylcholin-Analog und antiglaukomatöses Arzneimittel. Bei ziliären Vorgängen reguliert Carbachol zusammen mit Stickstoffoxid (NO) die Na+- und K+-ATPase-Aktivität. Es stimuliert den insulininduzierten Vesikeltransport zur Sekretionsstelle, um die Insulinsekretion zu erhöhen.
