Descrizione generale

Crea il filtro per siringa che preferisci. I portafiltri Swinnex offrono la massima flessibilità e permettono di selezionare il tipo di membrana e il diametro più indicati per le applicazioni desiderate. Per la filtrazione sterile, i portafiltri Swinnex possono essere passati in autoclave senza rimuovere la membrana. I portafiltri Swinnex consentono l′ultra-pulizia e la sterilizzazione di piccoli volumi di liquidi dispensati da una siringa e possono inoltre essere installati in linea per filtrare volumi maggiori.

Can you stack these filter holders so liquid passes from a syringe, through the first filter holder, then a second filter holder and then out the other end?

  We have not studied stacking Swinnex filters in series one after the other for double and separate filtration. One could attempt this but may need a stronger vacuum source to pull samples through both or a stronger pushing source such as a syringe. Depending on the sample matrix with particle type and concentration, one could also try stacking two filters on top of each other in one device. Both options have not been attempted and there is a higher element of risk of this functioning on many initial studies.

Is it necessary to use two different O-rings for the Swinnex 47 (SX0004700)?

  Yes, two different o-rings are required for the Swinnex 47 mm filter holder (SX0004700). One is for the inlet, which is a cone-shaped component, and the other is for the base, which has a flat surface to hold the filter.
  The XX1104707 o-ring seals the filter membrane in place and fits in the groove on the top (inlet) part, while the SX0004701 is the base o-ring and goes on the base (outlet).

What type of syringe is compatible with the SX0004700? Is an adapter required for this syringe?

  It is recommended to use luer slip syringe (not luer lok) for the Swinnex 47 SX0004700, as it fits inside the inlet. No additional adapter is required. Additionally, the Swinnex 47 has a ¼ NPTM inlet, which includes the female luer slip interior.
  Here are examples of syringes that are compatible with the Swinnex 47 and their sample holding capacities:
  Z683590-100EA: Polypropylene LUER SLIP syringe, 10 ml, pack of 100
  XX1102012: 20mL Luer slip polypropylene syringe, pack of 12
  XX1105005: 50mL Luer slip polypropylene syringe, pack of 5
