Neurodegenerative autoantibodies are immune system-produced antibodies that mistakenly attack the body′s own nervous system proteins, disrupting synaptic function and causing inflammation and neuronal damage. They target essential proteins like synaptic proteins, neuronal antigens, cell surface receptors, and aggregation-prone proteins. Detecting these autoantibodies in blood or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) can provide valuable insights into the autoimmune processes linked to neurodegenerative diseases. Research on autoantibodies enhances our understanding of serious neurological disorders and may lead to new therapeutic options.

Anwendung

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigourous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 25 neurodegenerative autoantibodies in human serum, plasma, and CSF.
