Application
Aufgereinigtes Kaninchen-IgG kann als Referenz-Antigen, Standard, Blockierungsmittel oder Beschichtungsprotein in vielen verschiedenen Immunassays, einschließlich ELISA, Dot-Immunbindung, Western-Immunblotting, Immundiffusion und Immunelektrophorese, verwendet werden. Weitere Anwendungen sind Ausgangsmaterialien für die Herstellung von Immunogenen und Festphasen-Immunadsorptionsmitteln. Kaninchen-IgG wurde zur Verringerung unspezifischer Bindungen bei der Immunpräzipitation von Proteinextrakten[1][2] und als Kontrollantikörper für Radioimmunassays[3], Immunzytochemie[1] und Immunhistochemie verwendet.[4] Kaninchen-IgG wurde außerdem als Standard zum Nachweis der Leistungsfähigkeit des Land-Contrast (LC) BioCD (Proteinarray)[5] und in Neutralisationstests eingesetzt.[6]

General description
Der IgG-Antikörper-Subtyp ist das am reichlichsten vorhandene Serumimmunglobulin des Immunsystems. Er wird von B-Zellen sezerniert, ist in Blut und extazellulären Flüssigkeiten zu finden und bietet Schutz vor Infektionen durch Bakterien, Pilze und Viren. Maternales IgG wird durch die Plazenta zum Föten übertragen und ist für die Immunabwehr von Neonaten gegen Infektionen lebensnotwendig.[7]
Kaninchen-IgG wird aus normalem Kaninchenserum mittels Fraktionierung und Ionenaustausch-Chromatographie aufgereinigt.
