Application
La timidina puede utilizarse en cócteles de HT y HAT para fusión, selección y clonado de hibridomas. Se ha utilizado:
- como fuente de nucleótidos en el medio esencial mínimo para evaluar el crecimiento de los blastocistos procedentes de las iSCNT[1]
- como suplemento en el medio selectivo de Eagle modificado de Dulbecco (DMEM) utilizado para la producción de anticuerpos anti-neurogranina (NRGN)[2]
- para preparar disolución madre de THMG (timidina, hipoxantina, glicina, metotrexato) y THG para la limpieza de las células de linfoma humano[3]

General description
La timidina también se denomina desoxinucleósido de pirimidina. La desoxitimidina es un nucleósido presente en el ADN. En una estructura de ADN de doble cadena, la timidina se empareja con la desoxiadenosina.[4]

How can I solubilize Product T1895, Thymidine?

This product is soluble in water (50 mg/mL), yielding a clear, colorless solution with heating. For aqueous concentrations higher than 50 mg/mL, solubility can be enhanced with the addition of a small amount of NaOH solution. Add the base drop wise with slow stirring. Thymidine is also soluble in methanol, hot alcohol, hot acetone, hot ethyl acetate, pyridine, glacial acetic acid, and is sparingly soluble in hot chloroform.
