Allgemeine Beschreibung

Perforated lids are crucial for optimizing the physical and biological sampling efficiency of Andersen impaction-based microbial air samplers. Air is accelerated through the perforations in the lid, creating a jet that impacts the agar surface. The perforated lid A 55 mm for MAS-100 Sirius Microbial Air Samplers is designed to fit tightly on the instrument by easy and quick magnetic closure without the need for twisting.
It is made from 316L stainless-steel which has good resistance towards a broad range of disinfectants including vaporized hydrogen peroxide and is suitable for autoclaving.
The magnetic lid type A 55 mm has a sieve geometry of 300 holes with a diameter of 0.6 mm and is suitable for use with 55 mm contact plates. This sieve configuration delivers a nominal d₅₀ value of 1.1 µm at a flow rate of 100 SLPM (standard liter per minute).
Each lid is marked with laser-based marking without significantly altering the properties of the metal surface. The information of the unique marking includes the identification code of the perforated lid as well as the serial number in barcode and readable format.

Anwendung

The perforated lid is designed for active air monitoring with MAS-100 Sirius instruments at a flow rate of 100 standard Liter per minute (SLPM) in combination with 55 mm contact plates such as ICR/ICR_plus contact plates or other small plate formats such as EM cassettes for the Growth Direct system, enabling efficient air sampling in Isolators and cleanrooms.
