Application

本キットにはBACE1活性を効率的に検出するために必要な試薬がすべて揃っています。BACE1インヒビタ-の候補物質のスクリ-ニングに使用するための酵素も入っています。このアッセイでは、BACE1による基質切断後に観察される蛍光シグナルの増強を、蛍光共鳴エネルギ-移動(FRET)法で測定します。

Biochem/physiol Actions

BACE1は、アミロイド前駆体タンパク質(APP)のβ切断に関与する膜貫通型のプロテアーゼであり、アミロイドβペプチド(Aβ)が生成します。脳のAβ蓄積は、アルツハイマー病進行の主な原因です。BACE1はインヒビター創薬のターゲットです。

    1. The B9059 BACE-1 product included in the kit, serves as a positive control. The Technical Bulletin notes that the concentration of this item is approximate 3 units/microliter. This material has not been tested for purity. Therefore, a molar concentration cannot be provided.
