General description

N-Cyclopropyl-2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazine, also known as cyromazine, is an insect growth regulator(IGR) that is commonly used as an insecticide. It undergoes metabolism in plants and animals to form melamine.[1] Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopic study indicates that it interacts with the surface of silver colloid through the lone pair on nitrogen.[2]
