  1. Can solution be poured onto the test strips rather than the strips being dipped into a test solution?

    1. No, this will affect the contact time, and the strips are not tested in this manner. It will lead to erroneous results. For best results, the strips should be dipped into the solution for approximately 1 second before proceeding to the next step.
