General description

Reactive group: Carboxylic acid.

Application

The organic layer of the CdS/ZnS or CdSe/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) with carboxylic acid as reactive group consist of a monolayer of oleic acid/octadecylamine and a monolayer of amphiphilic polymer. The total thickness of organic layers on these QDs is approximately 4 nm. They find many applications in bioimaging and biosensing.

Questions

1–4 of 4 Questions
  1. 이건 원래 OA로 캐핑된 QD의 표면을 MPA로 exchange한 제품인가요? 정확히 어떤 ligand를 사용해서 표면에 carboxyl기로 functionalization했는지 궁금합니다.

    1 answer
    1. This product uses a proprietary amphiphilic polymer coating to render quantum dots water-soluble. OA-capped ligands remain on the surface, and carboxyl groups are provided by the exposed polymer, not by an MPA ligand exchange.

      Helpful?

  2. What is the dimension of QD? Is the carboxylic acids pendant group? what is the anchoring group?

    1 answer
    1. This particle dimensions are as follows:
      core diameter 2.8 nm
      shell thickness 1.4 nm
      total core/shell size 5.6 nm
The product has a gross weight of 64 g and a net content of 1 mL. The pendant group is carboxylic acid. The anchoring group is not thiol-based; instead, an amphiphilic polymer coating is present while original hydrophobic ligand remain attached to the surface. This polymer layer enables water solubility and exposes carboxyl groups externally.

      Helpful?

  3. What is the extinction co-efficient of this QD?

    1 answer
    1. Unfortunately, the extinction coefficient of this product is not determined.

      Helpful?

  4. What is the particle size?

    1 answer
    1. The particle size of the CdSe/ZnS core-shell type quantum dots are as follows:
      Core diameter - 2.8nm
      Shell thickness - 1.4nm
      Core/Shell - 5.6nm
