Biochem/physiol Actions

Valrubicin is a semisynthetic derivative of the antineoplastic anthracycline antibiotic doxorubicin. Valrubicin is converted intracytoplasmically into N-trifluoroacetyladriamycin, which interacts with topoisomerase II, stabilizing the complex between the enzyme and DNA and causing cell cycle arrest.
