Questions

  1. I am considering using this to detect microplastics on a nitrocellulose membrane. I have read a paper that used DANS. It caused plastics to fluoresce with UV excitation. I am not sure if DANS will also cause the membrane to fluoresce?

    1 answer
    1. This product is not performance tested for any specific application. The end user would have to determine suitability. The Peer Reviewed Papers available for the product do not appear to be specific for plastics. However, the link below is to a publication that may be helpful.
