Goat serum is pooled from a normal donor herd.
Application
Normal goat serum may be used as a blocking agent or negative control in immunoassays. For immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry, goat serum was used between 1%-20% as blocking agent in various studies.
Goat serum has been used in:

- immunocytochemistry
- double immunofluorescence
- enzyme immunoassays (EIAs)

Can G9023 can be stable at 4C for one month? If you will be using this in 2 weeks, would you recommend initially thawing and aliquoting and re-freezing and thawing just to take aliquots out 2 wks later or just keep aliquots at 4C until use?

How many times can Product G9023, Goat Serum, be frozen and thawed?

We recommend that the product be thawed initially and refrozen in individual use aliquots. The second thawing will not harm the product. Multiple freeze/thaw cycles can destroy protein.
