Biochem/physiol Actions

Xipamide is a sulfonamide diuretic that blocks sodium reabsorption in the distal tubules of the kidney, resulting in increased urine output. Xiopamide also blocks the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) chloride channel.
