General description
For semi-quantitative determination of ions and other substances. Consists of plastic strip to which test paper has been sealed. Size of test paper area permits clear comparison with fields of equal size on color scale provided on plastic box. Length sufficient to permit easy handling, even when aggressive or otherwise noxious solutions are being tested.
- Fast; dip and read
- No apparatus needed, only single test stick for analysis
- Highly specific; interferences can be eliminated by precipitation or masking
