General description
ポリスチレン微粒子として一般に知られているマイクロパーティクルまたはラテックスビーズは、負に荷電したコロイド粒子です。これらの微粒子は制御された条件下でスチレンの重合反応により生成されます。反応の誘導環境が自発的な合体ビーズ形成を誘導します。 ビオチン-ストレプトアビジン系は、解離定数K(d)が4×10(-14)Mのオーダーである、既知の最も強力な非共有結合的生物学的相互作用です。ビーズは磁性を有し、結合を増強するためにストレプトアビジンでコーティングされています。マイクロパーティクルまたはラテックスビーズは、ポリマー粒子と水からなる水溶液として供給されます。589 nmにおけるポリスチレンの屈折率は1.5905であり、486 nmでは1.602です。
