Nickel(II) bromide, an inorganic compound that readily dissolves in water, finds application in the manufacturing of batteries, especially as an electrode material or an electrolyte additive. It is also utilized as a catalyst or catalyst precursor in various chemical reactions, particularly in organic synthesis and industrial processes.

應用

Nickel(II) bromide can be:      

• Used as a cathode material for sodium-metal halide batteries.
• Used in effective passivation strategy to enhance the optical properties, efficiency, and stability of blue-emitting CsPbBr₃ perovskite nanoplatelets for high-performance monochrome LED applications.
• Used as a nickel precursor in cross-electrophile coupling reactions.   
• Used as a precursor for the synthesis of other nickel compounds.
