Application

Fluspirilene has been used as a neuroleptic drug to study its effects on human ether-a-go-go related gene (HERG).[1]

Fluspirilene has been used to study its cytotoxicity effect on malignant glioma.[2]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Fluspirilene has a potential to inhibit the activity of cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (CDK2). It is an effective anti-cancer agent used for treating human hepatocellular carcinoma.[3]

Fluspirilene is a dopamine receptor antagonist.[4] It also acts as a calcium channel blocker.[5] Fluspirilene is an antipsychotic agent and exhibits neuoleptic properties.[5][6] It exhibits therapeutic effects against glioblastoma and Schizophrenia.[6][1]
