General description

Millex™ syringe filter units with hydrophobic Fluoropore® membrane are ideal for in-line sterilization of gases and venting sterile containers, and filters with Fluoropore® membrane can also be used for sterilizing or clarifying organic solutions. The 50 mm Millex filter units are especially useful for vacuum line protection. All units are bi-directional.

  1. Are these filters autoclavable for re-use?

    1. When used as a vent filter for air filtration, the product may be sterilized by autoclaving for re-use. If the filters are used in liquid filtration, autoclaving and re-use is not recommended. Please see the link below to review additional information in the product user guide:

  2. What would be your recommendation to protect my instrumentation from water intrusion?

    1. The recommended catalog number is SLFG05010 for the Millex-FG filter, which has a pore size of 0.20 µm and is made of hydrophobic PTFE material. The filter has a diameter of 50 mm.
